Debre Berhan University launched a joint Ph.D. program in GIS and Remote Sensing with Université Paris 8

DBU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management has launched a joint Ph.D. program in GIS and Remote Sensing with the Université Paris 8. It is one of the components of collaboration indicated in the MoU signed between the two universities. Three staff members from DBU have joined the program. This first batch of students have started the course work as of January 2024 with the French professors from Université Paris 8. This program is one of the Ph.D. programs that DBU launched as part of its transition to an Applied University. GIS and Remote Sensing is among the rarest fields ongoing at a Ph.D. level in Ethiopia.
