On the occasion, Dr Almaz Afera, Research and Community Service Vice President, said that the outcomes of the seminar are intended to formulate recommendations to be known as ‘DBU and Ethiopian Educators without boarder Statement.’ This statement to be crafted based on discussions during the conference that will focus on recommendations on key aspects research such as: opportunities, challenges, collaborations and joint researches. She also addressed that bringing renewed experts together in their respected fields is the vital issues of research to enhance experience sharing, capacity building and solving problems of the country.
Professor Tsegaye Nega, from University of Michigan, USA, Dr. Tarekegn Debele,from Jeonju University, South Korea, presented paper entitled “Saving lives and protecting the Environment: Promoting Improved Energy Solution in Ethiopia and “Computational Materials Discovery of 2D materials for Energy Application” respectively. Other six papers were presented by scholars in different disciplines.
Finally, questions raised, discussions and suggestions were made on the presentation, and the way forward is given by the presenters and participants.
